History
Discover the history of NewAge Industries,
which made BrewSavor the successful brand it is today.
1954
NewAge International, a hardness testing equipment business, is purchased by Raymond Baker. Baker changes the company’s name to NewAge® Industries and within the next year, decides to import braid reinforced plastic hose from the U.K. and introduce it to the U.S. market. He called this product Nylobrade®, and it’s still used in craft brewing and home brewing applications today. Nylobrade has been manufactured domestically by NewAge since 1992.
1962
Clearflo® clear PVC tubing is brought to market. To this day, it’s crystal clear appearance makes it the ideal beverage tubing for home brewing and dispensing.
1998
NewAge begins manufacturing its own silicone tubing and hose. These products are used on the hot process side of brewing and are ideal for applications where purity is essential.
2000
By year 2000, NewAge completes its fifth location move, allowing for more warehouse space, a larger manufacturing area, and significant product line expansion.
In this same year, NewAge's high purity pharmaceutical and biopharma division, AdvantaPure®, is launched. It’s from this division that the company masters the art of smooth hose-to-fitting transitions with its hose assembly crimp technology, which is now applied to our brewery hose assemblies.
2006
The ESOP – Employee Stock Ownership Plan – is established, giving team members a 30% stake in the company at no cost to them.
2011
NewAge Industries adopts a sustainability initiative and embraces alternative energy. Over 4,000 solar panels are installed on the roof of the company’s headquarters, providing one megawatt of power annually. At the time of installation, the array is the largest in Bucks County, the sixth largest in Pennsylvania, and provides the business with 50% of its electricity needs.
In the same year, Verigenics®, the RFID technology division of NewAge Industries, is launched. This division offers innovative solutions to enable medical device, pharmaceutical and other regulated companies to track and authenticate consumables, assets and equipment using radio frequency identification.
2013
Another 10% of the company is sold to the ESOP, making team members 40% owners. In another three years, the ESOP will own 49% of NewAge.
2019
NewAge addresses the need for high quality tubing and hose products for craft brewing, home brewing and dispensing and BrewSavor is launched. The remaining 51% of the company is sold to the ESOP and NewAge becomes 100% employee owned.
